Default sound system question

this isnt for a 350z but i dont think it matters that much, i was looking to buy a new sub and a amp to power it, and i was thinking about JL 10w7 with a 1000/1
but i heard for that much money you could buy something that hits harder, and just a better sub...is this true, cause ive heard so much good stuff about that sub....and since im ordering these from ebay, it will be around 1G or somethin...
what else could i go for and get it thumpin when i want to, and enjoyable bass whe i want to.

it depends on what you want to achieve?

the combo you listed is deinfely good qualiyt, but like you said, there are stuff that can get you more bass for similar costs

just remember if you ebay there wont be warranty, and there was a member not too long ago on Gforum who apparently ended up with two defective JL amps off ebay and lost quite some cash...

yeah i dont want bad quality stuff, and i know i dont get warranty on ebay, but you just save so much money...its like u have no other choice...especially for someone as broke as me :-D
after the amp and sub on ebay i will end up saving like 300-400 bucks...
like what else are theere that can get me good quality bass?

i can give you a suggestion that would work well for less money

amp: elemental designs nine1 1200x1 at 1ohm 350 bucks
sub: option1 Dual elemental Designs 11ov2. 10" subs, both for 350
or
Image Dynamics IDMAX 10, around 350-400

the dual elemtanls will be louder than a single w7 and sound pretty good
the single idmax will be about 95 percent of the volume of the w7 but requires a smaller enclosure, and goes deeper and in my opinion sounds better

those prices are brand new with warraty by the way

An IDMax, Adire Brahma and some of TC Sounds new drivers would all be as good if not better than the W7 for a similar cost.

I have actually had my hands on just about everything they makes these days this side of the 5400. My 3000W Crown amp is waiting for an 18" right now

Deon Bearden is thier latest addition ... my old roommate back in my Klipsch days

the 1000/1 is too much for a 10w7, you only need a 500/1
