Default Will Polk SR6500 fit in stock location with Zenclosures 1" spacers?

Title pretty much sums it up. I'm eyeing the Polk SR6500 component speaker set but I'm wondering if the woofers will interfere with the window operation even with Zenclosures 1" MDF spacers. I do not want to do any cutting or modification except for the installation of a spacer.

Also, will the tweeter fit in the stock tweeter location without dremeling out the opening to enlarge it?

Woofer Top Mount Depth: 2-9/16" (6.51cm)
Tweeter Diameter: 1 - 7/8" (2.22cm)
Tweeter Flush Mount Depth: 1" (2.54cm)

I finally got my 06 base (non nav, non bose) and have already decided on the Alpine IVA-W200 so now it's onto deciding on front speakers.

Thanks for any help!

they should just clear...though i think is a terrible waste to put the SRs in the stock location...and if you MUST put it in the stock location, do it int he coaxial configutation so you dont need to worry about the stock tweeter location, thats a horrible place for a tweet anyway

Thanks 16psibrick, I've been wondering how the coaxial config of those speakers would pan out functionally. Not to mention that makes it a lot easier during the install

Will I have a problem getting those crossovers to fit in the doors?

Crossover Dimensions: 6-3/4" x 4-1/2" x 1-7/8" (17.14cm x 11.43cm x 4.76cm)

As for the amp, it will most likely be a JL 300/2 (150x2 @ 1.5-4 ohms) in the compartment behind the driver's seat. My main concern is pure SQ (again, without permanent modification). I doubt I'll upgrade the rear speakers at this time because I'll be fading to the front so heavily.

you will never get those crossover into the doors so dont even try, they are like the size of little amps

if you are really considered about pure sq, i would put them into kicks, thats not a permenant mod because you just pick up a set of stock kicks online for 50 bucks and return it to stock and you dont need to run wires into the doors and you dont need to bolt anyhting in the door

believe it would sound 1000 times better than just plugging htem in the stock location

Would the optimal location for crossovers be in the glove compartment behind the driver's seat (along with the amp), or elsewhere? Hmm...

They will fit into the door's with basic 3/4 inch rings and have no problems with clearance. Crossovers will also fit inside the door panel twards the back. I would actually recommend the 5.25's though if you are going to be doing a sub. They have a much smoother sound and acutally sound a hell of alot better. Doing them in the kick is just a eargasim waiting to happen. " I personally have the SR 6.5's and 5.25's setup in my car"

The opposite side of the door from where the speaker is. There is a place on the outer panel that has enough room to mount and do all wiring and keep it clean without hitting the door panel.

I just installed my Kicker X-overs (probably not as big) and was really surprised to see how much room there is in the door panel...I wasn't able to finish the install in 1 night, so I had to drive around with the interior panel of the passenger door off--couldn't believe how much extra room there was with it removed (there was also a lot more road noise)

cool, i will keep tha that in mind, though i usually try to put the passives outside the door so if i need to tweak it or trouble shoot it, i can do it with out taking off the door
