anyone running a grounding kit?

Default anyone running a grounding kit?

i noticed a whining sound when i accelerate. i have a alpine screen, sub, components, and an amp. will it be worth it to get a grounding kit?

Sounds like alternator whine. I don't think grounding kits will help. You are better off checking all the grounds to your amps and headunit. Also make sure you are not running the amp power cables too close to the RCAs. A noise filter may help but it is only a bandaid to the problem. Good luck!

agreed, it's install/equipment issues, i like my home-made grounding kit but doubt doing one would help your problem.

if its a 4 channel a old school ground loop trick is to run a ground wire alongside your signal from the radio and grounding it to the same ground as the stereo. works very well and you dont have a big ugly box near your amp.

Do you have a 1 Farad cap?
I had a lot of engine noise in my 5 channel amp until I installed one.
