i noticed a whining sound when i accelerate. i have a alpine screen, sub, components, and an amp. will it be worth it to get a grounding kit?
Sounds like alternator whine. I don't think grounding kits will help. You are better off checking all the grounds to your amps and headunit. Also make sure you are not running the amp power cables too close to the RCAs. A noise filter may help but it is only a bandaid to the problem. Good luck!

if its a 4 channel a old school ground loop trick is to run a ground wire alongside your signal from the radio and grounding it to the same ground as the stereo. works very well and you dont have a big ugly box near your amp.
