we'll I've given up on trying to get the OEM Fairlady dash kit
I've tried talking to Japanparts at least 15 times but they either don't reply or when they finally do it just doesn't make any sense what's ever, I explained what I was looking for so many times to them including pics its not even funny! Anyways...
So since I'm not having any luck at all for the OEM pieces where are you guys picking up the aftermarket kits from and what do they normally run $? I would also like to pick up a wiring harness so I don't have to cut any of the OEM wires to put in my new headuinit. I have the Bose system without the factory nav system
Any prices, part numbers, shopd / URLs, and details on either would be great! Thanks alot

I got mine from Circuit city as well as the wiring harness for the alpine and the nissan so there was no wires to splice. They just snapped together and that was it.
Dash kit was $18 and I think for the two harnesses it was $30. It was well worth it since it means no loose connections and saving me a **** load of time.

Fast shipping, good prices, and great customer service.
I called on a Monday and placed my order for the Metra kit, and 2 Scosche harnesses. I had everything on Wednesday, and they charged me like $32 for everything. I think the harnesses were $6 each, and I used 2, the metra kit was $16.95...I think.
I was very pleased with them...

cool thanks, will give them a call. quick question though....why did you get two harnesses VS just one?
Originally, I cut the wires in a failed attempt to use line output covertors and the factory Bose head unit. After I determined that the head unit was causing problems, I scrapped the locs and went with an aftermarket head unit. I bought an extra head unit to restore the factory wiring in the future, should I ever decide to sell my baby, or put hte factory head unit back in...
You really only need 1 adapter, and not 2...

I was happy with these guys, just order express shipping, and you will still get it cheaper than from CC...
I heard some people are waiting 3+ weeks to get it from the CC idiots...

I have a question. Does the alpine wire harness work for all Alpine HU. I talked with someone from Crutchfield and they said that I would need one harness for Alpine to Nissan factory wiring. However, they said I would have to solder or splice the wires to the alpine HU myself. He said there was no such thing as a plug and play adaptor that goes straight from the HU itself without attaching the wires myself. Obviously you guys have done it, so does that Alpine to generic harness work for all Alpine HUs?
