Default opinions on PYLE 7" Mobile Video LCD Monitor (PLVW7M)

What do you guys think about this LCD? it's TFT and 16:9 and is the right price. I just never seen any of their LCDs in use and was wondering how is the quality.

Thanks

I think the thing is, most people have been shopping for a VGA monitor, which that is not. but that will work fine for TV/video games. but if you plan to use it as a computer monitor you will need an AV out on your video card and you may find it hard to read fine print.

it never really gives its resolution tho... and it is rather cheap even for a non VGA screen, so you would atleast want to find out exactly what its resolution is.

ares, thanks for the reply. I know most people have been looking for VGA screens and so have I but they are way too expensive and I want to get everything up and running and see how things are looking with cheaper equipment before I go and spend more money to improve them.
BTW, the resolution for that screen is 1440 x 234 which seems ok. I doubt I will be able to do much reading with it but for NAV and for Winamp I think it will be ok with large fonts.
I just wanted to ask around make sure I'm not getting a piece of junk from the get go.

I would stay far , far away from that monitor. Pyle along with Pyramid and Legacy are the manufacturers of flea market car audio equipment. They have 2000 watt amps that probably only pushes 100 watts and overate everything, im surprised they have got away with all that false advertising they do. Beware!

jabroney12, thank you very much, that is exactly what I was looking for. I was so ready to get one but now I won't.

I guess I'll be getting one of them expensive ones now

Any other LCD you know of that is in the $200 range that is descent?

well the major 2 brands are ferenheit and xenarc. the latter seems to have questionable quality control IMO, but if you just keep trying theyll get you a good one eventually. and they have the best quality that youll find. their 700V has just 2 AV inputs for 270... not sure how much farenheit is, but thatd be a brand to check out.
