Default For SPL

It's all about surface area, to move the air.

One 12: 113.04 in^2
Two 10's: 157 in^2

yep, unless your using Pi r^2 it's easy to underestimate the surface area of a slightly larger sub. 12" has 30% more surface area than a single 10"

Quick perspective gentelmen.

It is much easier to make a driver 12" driver outdisplace a pair of 10"ers

It comes down to a larger spider and a bigger/better roll for the surround. Smaller drivers are harder to control at high-excursions.

Most 12"ers have more overhang/stroke/xmax/call it what you want than their 10" counterparts.

Just because there is more Sd ... doesn't mean the 10s will be louder.

I still recommend 2 10"ers ... for the same reason as before: ease of install

Well i mostly listen to rock and some drum and bass type music, and alot of industrial with fast bass. So wich 2 10s would be good for that kind of music? I dont like sloppy rap bass.

i dont think the question should be 2 10's vs. the 12 you have... i think you should just go with a 13w7... beat the socks off anyone

But the box is so massive that it takes up my whole hatch and doesnt have muh of a show factor that an understrut fiberglass 10" box would have.

im running the kicker as well, heres my setup!
