Amp Placement
I do not like the zenclosure amprack. Allthoght it works unless you park your car in a garage everywhere you go I do not think you will want it. I know I wont go back with it. I had it in my car as a temporary solution while we were glassing and it came out with my amps quite easy when the theives broke in. "very visable from the window."
best place for amps in in the compartment where the stock woofer is.

for low profile, in the area behind the driver's seat. for show, get Zenclosure's amp rack...if you want something more showy, at least you have a good base to work from.

I keep mine under each seat. The amp stays cool and out of the way. There is sufficient clearance, however I did not check the clearance when someone is sitting on the seat. But either way, the amp stays out of my way, and functions perfectly.

Hey, that looks exactly like my install; same amp, even (though mine is turned the other direction). I also have a lighted cap mounted on custom brackets in front of the amp, so the light and display shows through the stock Bose sub trim panel/grill I put in.
+1 on this being the best location. It's a small car; stealth is the way to go for space savings as well as security. There's a ton of room in that compartment; shame to waste it.

To confess what you see is just a mock up that I was building to make a really nice one with Plexiglas, copper plate, and cold cathode lighting ... then I got some fresh air (and the price of copper tripled) so I left it in place. it works perfectly of course - it's must a rack.
The straps are earthquake/hurricane re-enforcement straps available from Home Depot.
I'd put my amp under teh passenger seat.. except... i've had that side get soaked before (yes, the top and windows were up) due to a window leak.. if i'd had an amp there at the time.. well.. i dont' think i'd have an amp anymore :/ the perils of owning the roadster
