I think its better do build it yourself. More fexibility.

I am amazed at the amount of people with carpc's in Z's. When i had my tibby there where only a few.

Very nice looking but lots depends on the effort made on the user interface. Windows XP and Visa are hardly driver friendly. Love to have options and there's a couple of new decks here that I never saw before ... or didn't exist two years ago.

Paul........funny you should post THAT system. That is the very same platform I've been researching for my own custom build. Only I want a 120GB HHD! Lots o tunes and vid's!
And with Streetdeck, Roadrunner and all the different developing frontends it will be very user friendly!
Almost makes me wish I didn't buy my WX-7700MDX HU! I really don't need it now with the right setup. But hey I'll just integrate it in for the looks! LOL!

Default Car PC

I was reading through the latest issue of Popular Science and they have a small little article in there about the Azentek Atlas CPC-1000.

This thing looks killer!

I did a little searching around on the net to find out the whole who, when, and where thing. I ended up just giving Azentek a call and the representatice there said the Atlas CPC-1000 was originally set to release this past March, but they pushed it back and it is now going to be around mid-July/August time frame. He said they will NOT be available at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. Your going to have to find them at your smaller local area car audio distributors......or as I think he called it, your "12 volt" shops. First time I've heard that term.

He also mentioned there will be accessories they will sell at the shops along with the HU to I guess customize it to your preferences. Sorry, I forgot to ask what the accessories would be, but after I got off the phone I was wondering what accessories your could add

Anyways, just wanted to pass this information along to whomever is interested in getting one. 95% sure I'll hold out for one....unless I see something better come along.

Peace!
