The stock alarm on the Z's you are almost banging and braking the rim and it still does not go off. You hit the window and it doesn't go off. Only time I've seen my alarm go off was when I locked it , put alarm on and left windows down just so I can unlock it my self through the window and open it. That is the ONLY time I've seen it go off.

I don't see a point of having shock sensor in aftermarket alarms.
Unless you happen to be around your car, you won't hear the alarm go off.
Even with the two way remotes, you're gonna have to run like h@ll to your car before the person who set off your alarm take off.
Plus, if it is a really determined thief, no alarm can stop him/her imo

The OEM alarm serves its purpose. It was designed to protect the items inside the car, not on the outside.
OEMs have a lot more things to consider then aftermarket companies. Very few OEM alarms have shock sensors. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is some Toyotas, and I believe its a dealer installed option.
Shock sensors are notorious for false alarms, which is one reason why they arn't included. They also don't protect all areas of the car equally, usually being more sensitive on the front left then the rear right of the vehicle. This would lead to owners complaining about the differences in the 'zones'.
The OEM alarm that Nissan uses is actually pretty nice. It allows you to add a shock sensor to it, although only a single stage.
Finally, one other thing to consider, is that many local cities consider car alarms a nusience, and thus technically could result in the owner getting a ticket over it.
I honesly don't think an Aftermarket Viper alarm will protect your car any better then the stock alarm, if you modify the stock alarm. The Viper, will however, afford you the opportunity to have better remote range, and AUX outputs. If you don't need either, save you money and buy a $20 shock sensor!

does the stock alarm has starter disable at all>? is the key chipped on the z?
i am going to add a starter disable with a 2way paging system. anyone know how the 4 wire battery backup sirens work>?
it has a keylock for on/off operation.
red for 12vdc
black for ground
white for + trigger
blue for - trigger

Just so you all know it is very easy to add an aftermarket shock sensor to the factory nissan alarm, you simply tie the aftermarket shock sensor into the factory alarm door trigger, diode isolate it and your done. When you set the shock sensor off it will pulse the door trigger therefore setting off the factory alarm. Unless going with an aftermarket alarm with 2 way paging system, buying a regular aftermarket alarm is a waste of time and money, no real advantage. And this is coming from a guy that installs mobile electronics for a living and has been doing so for 9 years.

im working on a rig so that if i am carjacked, i can either use the feature on the aftermarket alarm or always keep a remote in my possession to initiate the countdown of the disabling. anybody have any thoughts?
I am seriously needing some assistance on the siren issue. Otherwise, Im going to take the alarm back in case it has a problem.

If you implement something like that you need to make sure it doesn't compleltey disable the vehicle.
If you do completely diable the vehicle remotely, while someone else is driving, and they crash in to another vehicle and kill an innocent family you will most likely find yourself in civil court losing a lot of money.
Liability is great in this country......
To provent that, it would be beneficial to trigger 'limp' mode or something. Use a relay break the MAF signal so the car won't rev above 3K rpm. No thieve is going to try and use that as a getaway car, especially if there is a siren going off or something along those lines.
