BOSE hi level input to amp/sub
For those of you who have tapped into the BOSE system using high level/speaker level inputs on their amps or basslink, where did you tap the wires?
1) subwoofer wires before the BOSE sub amp?
2) subwoofer wires after the BOSE sub amp?
3) rear speaker wires before the BOSE amp? left/right or both for 2 subs
4) rear speaker wires after the BOSE amp? left/right or both for 2 subs
5) front speakers before or after BOSE amp?
6) other
thanks

I'm not sure what you're asking - what are you trying to do? By tapping into your Bose system I'm guessing that you want to change the head end and still use the amplifier and speakers? If so feed the amp line level output and be done with it. The speakers are very poorly designed and the amplifier is teeny-tiny and wimpy.

If you're attempting to hook a Basslink they'll accept either line level or speaker level. In either case you're connecting them up to the Bose system which tweaks (distorts!) the signal to match (make up for the crappy quality) of their speakers. I would avoid doing this if at all possible ... but I would take the line level input into the subwoofer if I had to - yick.
Here's the Bose woofer next to another. Imagine the amount of processing that has to take place to make this speaker sound even half right?
