This is a common problem with the Z...generally the players skip when it's cold out. If your ride is under warranty, take it to a good dealer and you will get yourself a new head unit. Unfortunately odds are the new unit will eventually develop the same problem.

Seems to start skipping when the temp drops. Was happening 1-2 months ago for me.

But...I live in AZ. So it looks like it shouldn't be too much of a problem till the end of the year

Mine skips as well using good media. Go buy the cheap CompUSA media. Works great even when cold.

This is a common problem with the Clarion manufactured Bose headunits. Mine did it too, it progressively got worse to the point where it was worthless. I got another one and it skipped every once in a great while. Best bet is just go aftermarket.

Mine skips when ever it is cold. It quits skipping once it warms up. I called my Nissan dealer 3 days ago and he acted like he has never heard of the problem. I have a 2003 and it might just be unique to that year. He said there is no recall for it and will cost to repair unless under warranty. POS radio. The good news is if you put the window down and listen to the exhaust note it is better than any song. One of my elderly neighbors who is always out walking his dog likes me to rev it when I drive by. He thinks it is the best sounding cars he has ever heard.
