Default Anyone have a CAR COMPUTER for audio/video?

i've just started researching this stuff. i would like to get a computer to set up in my car for dvd/nav/mp3 capabilities, but not sure on how much is needed.
i don't need anything too extravagant, just the basics. around how much should i be expecting to spend? pictures of your setups would be greatly appreciated.

I have built them into a few cars choosing components and assembling them in the dash boards. If you want to do it this way I can give you a list of components that will save space and money, HOWEVER the best bang for the buck is a mac mini.

Now dont freek out when I say mac because you can run virtual pc on it and keep the programs you want. You can also buy the unit with ample power, ram, and HDD. They also come with Blue tooth and wireless LAN. You can get web access of the blue tooth modem on your cell and there are some great blue tooth GPS systems as well. You will need the power adapter and there is one built for the mini with a wake on, and you will need a touch screen. you will be able to to do everything and keep your car uncluttered. If your running a data log you could also run a real time on the screen as you drive.

Now the only thing that I am not sure on is the radio. Nobody I know uses the radio and if you have ever heard jap radio you will know why.

Another thing that I like is the usb hub. Japan now has digital celestial TV and with a $100 dongle I have dvd and tv and the current ones will even record so you could actually record a program to your hard disk and watch it later.

If you want to build one look at the VIA mother boards they are the smallest at 12cmX12CM and come with everything on them and at 1.2g chip with built in video and audio and all the bells and whistles. There are a few decent power converters that will work like the mac one as well.

What I like the most is the blowing people away with the skype video going down the free way. We have some pretty good net in japan and people are always able to connect.
