Default If You have or have used Elemental Designs Amps or Subs...

Okay, I have been working with Bing (aka. 16psibrick) on designing a system.

I love the price of the Elemental Design Amps and Subs. What I am wanting to know is, are you using or have you used any of the following:

Nine.2 amp
Nine.2x amp

11Ov.2 Subwoofer (or any of their Ov series subs).


What are you using?

How do you like the product?

Did the product perform "below/at/above" your expectations?

Any problems with the product? Blown/Broke/Warranty Work Required?

Any problems with the company/customer service?

If you could do it over again, would you go with the same product, or would you choose a different brand?

I am using the 11 Ov2, nine4, and nine2x. The customer service from them is excellent and friendly. The amps have performed very well, look excellent and most people who hear my system are really impressed. I am using some old school ADS comps. all around and the sound is clean, powerful, and has great mid range and bass. The sub looks great and does a decent job of providing some fill in, the main limitation is the small box I put it in, so I cannot really truly give a good eval on the sub other than the build quality looks great and is has been reliable. If I placed it in a box more conducive with a high excursion sub, I think the bass would be better.

im using a nine.2 to power a set of edi 6500 components up front and i am more than happy with its performance. theres more than enough power there to power the speakers. im also using a 2nd nine.2 to power an image dynamics subwoofer and i have plenty of power left to drive the woofer. gains on both amps are quite low. like mentioned above the customer service with edi is top notch not to mention the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.
