HELP!!! JL 300/4 amp issue!
This set up was in my car and running fine for about six months. I noticed some distortion the other day and shut her off. I turned it back on and noticed the low imp light and figured one of my voice coils fired and the 2ohm load was triggering the light. I unhooked the sub and the light was still on. So then I decided to remove the other speakers as well and the light still didn't turn off. I was under the assumption that the light would turn off without any load.

my jl is messed up too...i strongly believe. i am getting little to know midbass out of my components and coaxils and the speakers are new. they are distorting as well...i have to get this checked. for the record....JL SUCKS! this is my third jl amp that has not worked correctly.
yup, seen a few amps with this same issue...time to get it warranty repaired
on a side note though, most of the amps i saw witht his issue was bought from online...i am not sure if htat has anyhting to do with it...but just so you know, many online warehouses, to prevent manufactuers from tracking them, acutally open the amp up, and scrape off serial numbers or put new fake ones on...i am not sure if this has anyhting to do with these amps more likely to go...but opening things up all the time i personally dont think is the best thing to do...especailly when done perhaps by inexpeirneced hands...
