I really want to get a V1, but the X50 is like half the price! Ive heard great things from both, but is the V1 rly worth the price of 2 X50s?

 

I have the x50 and I like it. If they were the same price I probably would have gone with the v1 but since its half the cost I can't complain for my decision.

 

See thats what Im thinking too. Do they have the mirror mount for the X50?

 

The x50 saved me the first day in use... picked up a state trooper, hiding in the trees, from about 1.5 mile away. Was doing 85 in a 65, at the time. Moved over, and slowed down, guy who was riding my @$$ got ticketed... lol.

 

I'm looking at getting this one since mine went on the fritz the other day. A friend of mine wants me to get an escort though.

I have the Valentine and I love it. I can pick up the k band signals from up to a mile and a half away and ka bands about a mile away. As u know the valentine tells u how many signals it is picking up as well as what direction they are coming from.

 

Beltronics RX65 is the one I got and it works GREAT!! No complaints at all and it has a good range (1 to 1.5 miles)

 

The RX65 is basically the same as the X50. Beltronics and Escort are the same company now. But it's the RX65 is also a great detector.

 

v1 all the way. Started w/ X50, but got the V1 for christmas. LOVE IT SO MUCH MORE!

i bought this last week, the x50 blue. installed and drove 70 miles back to school, pos went off 3 times and almost gave me a heart attack. it showed k band at full blast. wtf. waist of damn money. Also, i realized that i have to dismount it each time i get out of the car; a huge burden. I'd say save the $ for some tint or gs210s. the best thing for police detection is checking the rear view every 10 seconds, checking for break lights up ahead, know the hot spots, speed when other speeders are around, and not speeding for long amounts of time. radar detectors are not worth the $. i've been speeding way past 100 (once in a while) for 2 years and havent gotten a ticket. thankfully, this x50 has a 30 day return policy.

 

gotta disagree. i have the x50 and i live in cali too, and its saved me a few times. i dont ever get false alarms either. get the zbracket and the invisicord https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video/248545-has-anyone-hardwired-their-radar-detector.html and itll take about 30 sec to install and itll be clean.

2 X50s FTW! Put them side by side. If one X50 keeps you from getting 90% of possible tickets, then two will keep 180% of tickets away. The police will be sending you money in the mail.

Honestly...I've had a v1 for about 5 years now. I've been pulled over ...I'd say 7 times. However, the only damn problem....is their instant on crap. If they flip on their radar from anywhere...aimed at you....your basically f u c k e d. All of those 7 times have been exactly because of that. Doesn't matter how good of a radar (v1, x50, bel...I don't care you name it) you have at that point. Just got my last ticket 2 weeks ago . It's gettin' irritating.

 

So you got hit by pop or laser? There's no way around the pop but you can get the M20 for the laser...<--this is for the OP
