Default Which sub to use...

I'll try to be brief. I'm looking for a sub that delivers a good amount of volume, sounds good, costs around $150-250, and is 10".

Right now I'm looking at a Treo SSi 10.44 ( RMS 750 ) and a Mmats P3.0 10" (100 watt RMS)

I'd really like a 10W7, and will probably upgrade with time, but the sub is just more than I can afford at the moment.

I have a Kenwood 850 watt @ 2ohm (500 watt at 4 ohm) amp both RMS ratings, so I don't really have a limitation on what I CAN run, but looking at specs (voice coil size, magnet size, price, and looking at some old reviews they both seem to do well. I had a treo TSX before and liked it, but don't want to rule other subs out because of that.

something like an image dynamics IDQ, or elemental designs 11ov.2 woukld work well, both are around the mid to high 100 dollar range, with the IDQ being the more empahsis on SQ, adn the 11ov having hte edge in output...

Do you have any side by side experience with the Elemental Designs sub vs the Mmatt's. I have a lot of local shops that carry both so I can compare in person (treo and Mmatts), but noone carries ED locally that I know of so I haven't really heard of them (other than the systems you've shown). It looks nice though.

Definitely send me a PM on where I'd be shipped for that (and a wiring kit, 0 gauge, stinger quality amp kit).

Thanks,
-Tyler

FWIW, I'm kind of going backwards and adding the sub first because I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to the install yet and when I do my highs I'm going to use a carputer, sound card -> amp and speakers. I don't have time to mess with the carputer yet and don't want to have a headunit in interrum.
