What is a good HU.. My Bose got to go..
Hello All my Bose HU is giving me problems (my left speakers keep going out)... https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/133665-bose-stereo-left-side-speakers-random-on-and-off.html
My warranty is up i have a 2004 350Z Roadster (2003 made). I am looking to replace the HU with something simple.. I dont need Navi/DVD player.. just need something that plays MP3s off CDRs (off DVDs too would be great) and has a line in so i can plug in my IPOD...
Any ideas? 200-400 range. If cheaper would be great.. But willing to go up/down.
Thanks
Dmitriy

The Kenwood DPX 302 is in your price range and it's a double din with a front auxiliary input. I've been toying around with getting this headunit because of the price and it has everything that I need.

If this is an option (if it fits and you want it). I have all components HU - base speaker and all other speakers plus the 'amps' that drove them. PM me if interested.
I've got the premier 780mp,nice graphics, way too many settings and adjustments that I'll never use,but the only thing i really dont like is how they went with the rotarty **** instead of buttons. It looks alot cleaner but i just have to get used to it. I chose premier and pioneer hu's due to the fact that I can fine tune my system,I've tried alpines before but simply prefer the premiers. The 780mp is the same as the 980bt I believe,it just doesnt have the bluetooth feature. The bluetooth was only like 100 bucks more, but when I'm driving I'd rather be listening to music and enjoying the ride than talking on the phone. Theres alot of other reasons why I like it but really you're just gonna have to shop around and see which one you prefer.

A friend of mine just installed the new Alpine (iDA x001). The best and fastest IPOD or USB interface to date, it was just released last week and is awesome for the price(399). So throw away your CDs and get to installing. I am ordering mine very soon.

pioneer DEH-P7800MP is what i ordered yesterday got it for 299 from sonicelectornix dang good price and it looks to be a awesome unit and the way you can adjust the sound is amazing on it.
Check out www.woofersetc.com as well, better prices than crutchfield and just as reliable. I tend to lean towards Eclipse and Alpine.
