Hey guys whats up i bought the newest g-tech pro ss i figured i would use this to see my gains from anymore mods i do on my car. Im about to install my plenum spacer to see what gains it shows has anyone have this device and how accurate is it. Do you think that this would work good enough for tunning purposes and what downfalls are there in this device that you don't like. I was also wondering does this device show whp or horsepower at the crank.

Nothing takes the place of a good tune to take advantage of a mod or a dyno to note increases in HP after a mod is added, but the G-Tech (and Escort G2, etc.) are fun to see approx. differences in timed runs....0-60, 1/4 miles, etc.....after installing a mod. I've used my Escort G2 for a couple years now to see approx. increases in performance after plenums, intakes, pulleys, headers, pipes, rear gear, flywheel, etc. As far as accurancy in the timed runs, for me they end up being pretty close to my actual runs at the strip. As for the HP ratings they give (from what I remember it gives approx. crank HP), I've not put much stock in them - use the dyno for that. Have fun!!

so what you are saying is that the 1/4 mile feature and 0-60 feature is pretty accurate but the hp ratings it gives you isn't.
