I have the single 10" box. The build quality is top notch, everything looks to be cnc cut, assembled and sealed well from inside the box. High quality carpet. Perfect fit. Can't ask for more from a box. I am running a Diamond Audio D6 10" sub in there. Sounds great.

The only thing I altered (because I am the overkill king), I took out the terminal cup and put some closed cell foam tape under the flange. also I upgraded the piece of 16awg that they put in there to 12awg (from the terminal cup to the subwoofer).

Street oc, I wonder what 12 will fit in there and what 12 will be close to the CF size. Do you have any recommendations?

OK, well looking at the listing, it has an internal volume of 1.5 ft^3, and a max mounting depth of 7.125".

It's hard to suggest a sub without knowing the following:
1. How many watts are you going to power it with
2. what type of system do you want? Sound quality or SPL (loud)?
3. What type of music do you mainly listen to?
4. Are you also replacing the front speakers?

Maybe I have been at SEA too long but i didn't see any specs on thier 12 single sub box on extreme customs website, so that would help me out alot.

Answer 1. 600 RMS

Answer 2. Clarity with accurae low notes

Abswer 3. In order of precedence

a. Hip Hop and Rap, and yes there is a difference between the two.

b. Funk

c. R&B, and Urban R&B plus a littlw Maroon 5

everything else in my car is already installed. I am currently running to alpine type r 10's with two amps on each sub, but i don't like 10 inch subs. i chose them becuase that was the only thing available when I Purchased the Car.

Well their website on ebay is really cool. They use a flash movie to have like a web page within a web page. the big colorful (blue) box in the middle of the page has a menu in it along the top......anyway,

OK, well sounds like you want more of an SQ system.

For the specs of the box, some subs I could remommend would be (in no particular order):

Diamond Audio D9
Image Dynamics IDMax
TCSounds TC9
Elemental Designs 13Ov.2
JL Audio W6

These are just a few suggestions. There are other options as I'm sure others will advise. and I forgot to make sure they would fit the depth, so make sure you check that out. But the subs I recommended above will work with the power and volume requirements.

Also, if you find a sub you like, but it recommends a smaller enclosure, you can make the box smaller by gluing (with lots of liquid nails) pieces of 2x4 or other wood inside to get the size you need. Some 12" subs are optimized for 1 ft^3, so you would glue 0.5 ft^3 of wood inside the box to make the volume smaller. Like, a good recommendation is RE Audio SE series, but they suggest a smaller box than 1.5 ft^3. But it is an awesome sub. You don't want to overlook a sub just because your box is too big from the factory.

I have that enclosure and I have JL Audio 12W3V3 in it. I am pushing it with a JL Audio 500/5 amp so its seeing 250 watts RMS. It sounds awesome for a sealed enclosure. I hits damn hard. I want to port it though for more extension. I am trying to find a pair of the old JL Audio 3.5" diameter flex ports.

I am not a huge fan of the sealed alignment. To me a properly tuned ported enclosure sounds better. I like the smooth, non-directional, ultra low bass a ported enclosure gives. Plus the added efficency is like doubling amp power.

Chris at Elemtal Design to me to put one 4 inch arrow port in that box and that would be optimum for the 13Ov.2 Subwoofer. I just don't were to put the port though since the box has not gotten here yet. I was think in the back toward the side, with the port facin the front winshield. Since you have the box, do you have any suggestions?

Here is the link to the port too!

i never figured out why people think ported boxes give LOWER bass, or MORE low bass, than sealed enclosures...

most ported enclsoures are tuned at what? 30-50hz? below that the output rapidly drops...if you want hte ground shattering ultra low stuff thats felt more than heard, the sub30hzish, sealed enclosure are the way to go. sure you can tune a box to like 20hz ported, but that owuld require a pretty long port, and may not go all that well...but evne then, the ultra low sutff still wont be as good as a sealed box...

again, we are talking about the ultra low stuff, below the porting freq...

here is the IDMAX10 plot to show...even tuned at 25hz, the sealed passes the output of the ported at 22ish hz...and thats a 1.5 cubfeet box ported for a 10
