is it necessary to ground wire if i'm wiring it to fuse box? i cant seem to find a place to ground the wire to!

 

Yes, just bolt it down to something metal using an existing bolt...i can't remember but there has to be something down there, just hook up the power and touch the ground wire in spots till the detector turns on and then bolt it down there.

I'm only answering you question b/c i am hoping that this will keep a few officers from getting to write you a ticket.

 

yes there is a bolt down there, i remember it was pretty snug but it came off

 

you might have to remove that foot panel or move it out of the way a little bit
