Default Help With Alpine CDA-9835

Hey guys. I have an alpine 9835 with the ipod adapter. WHen I connect my ipod, and try to find the artist, the onlt thing I can search is "Folder Search" and "File Search". The file search is EMPTY and the folder search has every song listed. How do i get artist to show???

I had this same setup in my Evo (I totally miss it btw ). The trick with this deck is that you have to create Playlists within your iPod in order to see all of the music you want to listen to. Unfortunately this is the only way as you can't search like you would in the iPod. All that I did was create a playlist for each artist...then put all of their songs into that playlist. Since the 9835 is an older deck with regards to iPod compatibility...you're kinda stuck.

You can access the library but it won't say it...usually says No Support, but create a playlist, then you can hit the folder button twice. That will pull it up.
