depends, i mean if you pure SPL is your goal, and you are looking for 3k watts, i do believe crossfire, mmatts, earthquake all made 1000-200 watts for around 500 bucks? i thik earthquake has a 3000 watt rms amp for way under 1000 bucks...granted, these arent the cleanest of the amps, espcialyl the earthquake PH series, but for all out SPL on a budget, they suffice...

also, elemetnal designs nine.1 which is 1200 watt x 1 is at 375 bucks, three of htem would still come under the single rf amp

heck for all out clean class AB power, the DLS ultimate A6 is right around 500-500 bucks and does 1200x1 and would be cleaner than the RF

also there is a DLS classic 1x1600 watt for around 650 bucks per whcih is also a good amp

again, not bashing your setup at all, i am just saying if all out SPL amp is the goal, there are slightly cheaper (and smaller) amps

where in gods name are you gonna fit that thing?

the boys i compete against run Mmats as the company is based out of Palm Beach
the D3500.05 is about $900 and it needs to run at .5 ohm to make 2700 watts it is their larget amp in mono and is to small for my needs

the RF runs at 3 ohms to make 3000 watts it will sound better at 3 ohms than the mamts at .5 ohm and take less draw to do it

the crossfire vr4000d does make 4000 watts @ 2ohms and is about $1200 to $1300

though i like way Rf sounds better as my boy has a suburban with 4 each vr 1000d crossfires

and the earthquake PHD10000 is about $1500 and it only make 3000 watts at 2 ohm

the RF makes over 3200 @ 2ohms and is less money at $1200 to $1300

i looked at all these and or compete against them

what i did however consider is the soundstream 6500 but my boy Ivan runs this and i do not like his sound all that much but he does hit over 160 on the ac mic consistently in his CRX

the other stuff you mentioned is to samll

thanks though

cool, i was under the impression the PH5000 is the one that does 3000 watts at 2ohm, and the 10000 is just two of the ph5000 bridged together? i could be wrong, i thought also i saw the ph5000 on sale for like 600 bucks? i could be totally mistaken though either way, keep us updated on the SPL nubers you get

with that much power and those subs, i expect well over 150 in a Z close to 160 perhaps hehe
