Just emailed BOSE... hope to hear back... i had my amp replaced today and i'm thoroughly disgusted with the sound. I've heard transistor radios with more bass... Embarassing.

Get on the bus folks... the more complaints, the quicker (and better) the fix...

Default Well blow me down!

I'll be a monkey's uncle! I really never thought
Bose would stand up and fix this problem. I know it
ain't over yet, but I am impressed that they are
going to try.

I hope the fix gets in to the 2004 models!

I sent one as well. I am having so many damn problems with this car. I now have the feathering, window grease, blose audiopilot, and transmission problems. I hope Nissan gets their heads out of their as*es and fixes all these problems.

I feel for you guys. Shitty stereo's suck.

My bose started out pretty bad but now with my third replacement bose amp it is starting to sound pretty good. I also put in Insanamine's $.20 bose fix and now the audio pilot is gone, history, nada!

Check out the thread, it is worth a try.

Thumbs up Form letter again!!!

We're all receiving the same e-mail(s). The 1st e-mail I got the standard response, the 2nd e-mail I received the revised response. When I responded to that with my 3rd e-mail (ie calling her out on the form messages) - no response yet.

Until I see a TSB or recall for the "real" Bose correction - I give ZERO weight to the Bose response.

Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah.... BS

And to make matters worse - my tweeters are starting to crackle and hiss - It makes the AM stations sound like dog $hit above 17.

Bose = Blows chunks!

Default Will it be addressed in the 2004 models?

Since I ordered a 2004 roadster (touring) I am very interested if this will be addressed in the early 2004 models. I have emailed Bose about this concern.

However, if anyone here actually speaks to a real person at Bose can you ask them about the 2004 models? Thanks.

Thumbs up Funny Quote from BOSE.com.....

Quote from BOSE site:

The Chicago Tribune has said that "... the name Bose on the car stereo is akin to the Good Housekeeping seal of approval." To achieve that level of audio perfection, we work closely with manufactuers of the automobiles, tailoring the music system to each new car model to ensure quality audio performance. Using a unique intergrated approach, we consider the effect of every aspect of the car's interior on the final audio quality. The result is stero sound that gives you the drive-time of your life in your own personal concert hall.

THAT IS TOTAL BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I jumped the gun. Guess I was just excited that somebody, somewhere responded to one of our complaints.

I still think it is good news that Bose acknowledged in writing that the system in the 350Z Touring model is not up to their standards. I really was expecting a wishy washy statement full of general BS. I expect that it will take a while, but once they have admited that the system is not good enough, they are obligated to fix it.

Default Blose

I am starting to feel like Blose is just blowing smoke to make us THINK we got action. When I asked about the 2004/Roadster system I got a cute little answer about how "It's a roadster so OF COURE the stereo would be different."

Of course it would be different?!?!? This coming from a "high end company" who's high quality engineering standards apparently did NOT include sitting in the car, popping in a CD, and hearing that it sounded like crap.

I should have answered "Are you actually going to sit in the car and listen to the stereo BEFORE shipping it THIS TIME?!?!?"

Man, the more Bose talks the more I think they are just placating us.
