Look what UPS brought *part 2*
Got this in on Wednesday around 5-6ish:
The screen:
The GPS unit:
The installation, half way through running the wires:
Nav box placement, pardon the dust:

GPS Ant:
Installed:
Boot:
The nav working:
All in all it works great, syncs up really quick, calculates routes very quickly and has an amazing interface. I really liked how the install ended up, it looks like it came from the factory, which is what I was going for, and it's very easy to conceal.

Very nice install... clean and stealth.
Your screen shot shows a nice feature of the Kenwood KNA-G510 Navigation Box. Since the GPS "knows" where you are and the time of day in your position, it can automatically invert the display (day or night viewing). I love that feature. At night, the background goes to black so it isn't too bright, and automatically goes to a white background during daylight hours for viewing under bright ambient light.

Miscellaneous things with the install added a little more. Plastic weld - $3, lighted switch - $5, velcro for the lcd brain and nav unit - $5. If you don't have a soldering gun you may want to invest in one just to make sure your connections don't come loose, those are about $10-15 plus solder. Everything can easily be done for < $800. Plus if you don't have the 03 cubby you will want one, I think those are like $90ish.

Maybe you tried it but incase you didnt, you can actually mount the GPS antenna underneath the plastic you currently have it sitting on. Did it for both my XM and GPS ant's and they still work just fine.
Nice install!

I can tell you for sure after lunch, but I'm pretty sure I just pulled that top panel of the brace off without removing anything else. If anything you may need to take the trim pieces off from the side/rear first.

push,
That is just a great install... with everything where they should be. You took advantage of the best positions the Z offers for installing all the components.
You are certainly on top of the "Hall of Fame" of Z installs.
