No. The Farenheit T-7000MHR and the T-7001MHR use different remotes. I have both, and you need the specific remote to operate the LCD.

Just curious: Why do you ask?

Thanx

Becuz I have a T-7000 and just bought a used T-7001 for cheap on Ebay. It didn't have a remote but I didn't really care cuz of the price I got it for.
And..... Someone stupid inside my head told me it should work.

The controls on remote for the T-7001 are very different (and, IMO are very confusing) than the remote for the T-7000.

If you don't have the remote, possibly you have been unable to operate the T-7001... But, if you've been able to run the T-7001, I am curious about your opinions of the two LCD's Farenheit T-7001MHR vs. Farenheit T-7000MHR.

Operation? Picture (and color) quality?

It's a lot of work taking apart the center console in the Z. Before installing the 7001, you should bench-test your new (the Farenheit T-7001MHR) equipment. You can do this by connecting your new purchase (the T-7001) to a 12 volt converter. That way you can see if it works before doing all the work this installation requires. The first Farenheit I bought was defective, but I knew this before I installed it because I tested the LCD on the bench using a 12 volt converter. That saved a lot of unnecessay work and time.

Notice that the T-7001MHR has a cheap headrest shroud that does double-duty as the back of the unit. This requires cutting (removing) the edge of the cheap shroud to allow installation in the upper/forward cubby space.

EDIT: If you install the T-7001MHR, how can you run the LCD for an evaluation if you don't have its remote control
