Put up a picture of what your box/trunk looks like and I could help. Also do you have the bose ten in it also? If not that's where we install a lot of amps for Z's inside that hole hidden.

as the previous person said about the bose 10 sub behind the driver seat.

i don't have the Bose sub so behind that is an empty compartment so i mounted a piece of wood and put my amp and distribution blocks behind there so it isn't seen.

***stupid cardomain isn't working right now or i would post the picture of what mine looks like. But its pretty easy to imagine

The bose aren't as bad as people make them sound. I took the bose system and added two 12" JL DVC W6's to mine with a 1500 watt pure digital kicker amp with custom made fiberglass box on top of the bose system's ten and mid's/high's. The key is to use a JL clean sweep. The bose ten is behind the driver's seat if you have it. My 12's point up at the hatchback lid for better sound and my amp is on an amp board under the sway bar lit up. I would of installed it where the ten is but it sounded good enough after the clean sweep was installed so I left it. Otherwise the amp would have been installed in there.

I'll try to get pictures loaded up. Do you want to keep your spare tire and jack in the car. I have roadside asst. so mine is covered. If you don't want them in the car then pull up the carpet in the trunk and an amp board can be made for in the dip, if done nice it looks great. You could light it up to show it even if you want then. Then cover with clear plexiglass and still use the trunk.

depending on the size of the amp mount it in the trunk area.. if it's a small mono block class d or something you can tuck it away in the foam cubbys somewhere.. you can also build a facade to cover up the back area and mount it for display..

As for how to remove those plastic covers to hide the amps (the one where the factory bose 10 goes)...

1. Take a flat bladed screw driver, and carefully wrap the blade with a piece of electrical tape. Be sure it covers all the metal (this will protect the plastic)

2. Find the seam where the plastic cover meets the surrounding. Insert flate blade in between, and it should pop out.

On another note, I'm gonna put my amps in there too. Has anyone had problems with heat in there?

Try doing a search,,,,there are threads here that describe, step-by-step, how to take the inside of the car apart. I used these threads to install my complete stereo set-up. Lots of great, helpful info.
