No.

You would need 3rd party software that accesses the ECU code.

that is what he is asking, cable+laptop+software

carlos305, if your going to attempt to mess with the stock ecu I suggest letting a tuning shop do it for you. Unless you have some serious experience with tuning the whole thing can go to hell in a hand basket real quick.

No. OBDII is significantly different from the ECU. See the tuning forum.

OBD allows you to read engine settings, etc.

Companies like Technosquare have spent years and thousands of dollars to learn enough about the ECU to be able to "tune" it a little. That's why they charge $500+ a shot for a reflash.

On a Nissan car, you need Consult II to control the ECU, etc. Probably in the $5K range for that.

autoengunity is a OBDII scanner program that lets you do limited BCM control from a laptop/palm. It's not engine management functions but you can control some of the programming features of the BCM (body control module) like alarm, lights, and other dealer setable options.

No price, no pics, no details, no nothing. IOW - they don't have one.

Do Nissan dealerships pay this fee ($5K) for Consult II?
