Default navigation is off by a 100 feet, any fixes?

hi there,

my D3 runs great except for the navigation being a little off. like the length of a intersection, 2 lengths sometimes. is there a way to improve this. i usually have all satellites lit up in orange. i do have the VSS cable connected but i dont know how to verify in the unit that its working? is there a way to tell?

I dont have my reverse cable connected either even tho it says low in the status. i read somewhere that that might compound the VSS info. not sure if thats true. for all i know VSS doesnt even effect this.

thanks guys

My AVIC N2 has an off set in the set up which allows you to drag the car to the proper location. From that point on it applys the off set to the display.

this is what i was going to suggest. go into the settings and see if you can find it. sometimes somethings just messed up tho and it'll do weird things. try it out tho

Okay, NAV MENU-> Settings-> Modify current location. Drag to where ya want to be on the map. Forgot how easy it was to find. But it might be a PIA to drag... the touchscreen makes your position fly around sometimes... good luck!
