Any 06 or 07 out there with clean 7" install in cubby?

Yes it will work, however you will also need lid with navi unit as well, essentially this will be what your screen will sit into (I am trying to source the exact same thing here in the UK but the dealers are pretty thick
)
)
Exactly what part numbers are needed in order to substitute the '06 non-navi dash wit the '06-'07 navi dash?? I might thing, console without gauges, navi compartment and finisher?? if those are the three correct parts, what part numbers are they??
since in Performance Nissan isn't clear which part is which...

The KOS LCD screen supports RGB so it is razor sharp. The navigation component (Kenwood KNA-G510 Navigation Box) is ROM-based using flash memory (instead of slower DVD and HDD solutions from competing manufacturers). Access and display speed is phenomenal. You also get instant updates for application software and data maps using an Internet site and an SD card.

Using Kenwood’s KOS system, you install the KOS system LCD in the Z’s upper/forward cubby slot (the OEM navigation position), a KOS controller anywhere (the large cubby space behind the driver’s seat or passenger seat is best) and operate your entire CES using either the KOS touch-screen function or a handheld remote control.

^^ You are correct. I’m trying to understand the reason why this project seems so rare in the ’06 and ’07 models. It does require some surgery and custom fabrication, so I guess it’s just easier to drop something into the DD slot.

EDIT: This is certainly a topic that interests readers. Notice the high “View” count, confirming there are plenty of ’06-07 owners who are interested in using the upper/forward cubby for something other than storing “smokes” or sunglasses.
