still debating what to do on that. I guess for us 06+ guys, it will cost much more to do this conversion. maybe fabricate up something for the upper cubby or replace the entire center console. either way it will be pricey. sigh

So with this I can easily mount the 7" screens liek the 03-05 guys? Wonder how much the wireing and motor is. And I wonder if it comes with the trim piece since the pic doesnt show it.

No it is not. Minispider and evobunny on here have dealt with it and it is not an OEM perfect fit. and it does not even include the brain to open or close.

edit:
Hey kaspia does that 03-05 cubby actually close? b/c i believe on markm's install that cubby could not stay closed.

well...it does include the motor but the cubby is not an exact color match and it does not fit exactly in the hole, but it does look better than the pics above with that huge gap. I've installed a momentary switch on mine and it works beautiful, it is for sale in the interior market place, is in storage right now, so i have to look for it!

just barely saw your post. The 03-05 lid will close and open but the retracting lid will slightly brushes against the triple gauges housing

i tried to explain it on this thread with more detail pics.
so for the time being I am using my original lid until an idea or someone come up with something.

This part?

I just got one from them to mount a Kenwood 6.95" touch screen and am extremely happy with their customer service.
