Default Door noise after component install

I just had components installed by a local proffesional install shop. Now theres a thumping noise when I roll the windows down all the way.. They said they were installing the crossovers in the door.. Do you think the window is smacking the crossover on the way down??

No, I doubt they are hitting the crossover. But that idiot shop might have mounted the crossover to the door with "too long" screws.. thereby causing the window to hit the screws when being rolled down? ..just a possibility.

Happens with the system on and playing or whenver the window goes down?

I would go back and complain. Should not take them long to fix. If they don't do anything about it, I would take the panel off, reconnect the power window switch and watch to see what is happening.

I would guess the most likely culprit is the speaker, it may be too deep and the magnet is hitting window. You might need a thicker spacer.

the spacers they used probably don't clear the magnets on the drivers

What components did you have installed? I agree, they probably didnt use a spacer for your speakers/or one that was too small. Screws that would be too long wouldnt make a thump (unless its bending door metal each time) so its probably hitting your speakers.

Take it back asap

Yes,,deff sounds like too long mounting screws or speaker not properly spaced. I would get it checked out ASAP,,,for the Z's are known to have horrible window motors,,,I wouldnt do anything to speed up the process of the motor throwing a fit.....keep us posted.
