Default What do I do for an inexpensive improvement over the stock system?

I do not want to spend a ton of money on a sound system. I like the way the stock system with certain music, but sometimes it does sound like crap when you turn it up. I'm looking to spend a few hundred bucks. I want something a bit louder and clearer than the stock system. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Get some decent speakers for it. You could probably replace all 4 for like $200-$300. I'd say get 3-way coaxials (or maybe a set of components if you can get a good deal) for the front and just some 2-way coaxes for the rear.

I've read virtually every post in here and I can't remember what the outcome was for that fix. I mean, is that actually possible, given the weird BOSE ohm ratings and whatnot???
