Sub box replacing rear driver side styrofoam
Has anyone done this or looked into replacing the drivers side styrofoam filler with a small 8" custom sub box. I'm out of town and can't measure the size of it, but from what I remember when I covered the rear area with Sound deadening material it seemed feasible.

I tried to search to find some examples and couldn't find any. I'd really like to take a look at what they did. I only said 8" to be safe, I'd rather have a 10" of course.

That's not true there is more than 3 inches. i would say about 8" deep. I am not sure how big of a box u could build but I would guess u could get AT LEAST .50 cubic feet out of that space and keep it flush. Just look 4 urself. It is not that hard to get the foam out.

I was thinking of something similar. The old JL stealthbox that they made for the 300ZX would be in the same line. As long as you don't have the bose amp in the stock location you should be able to fit a sub under the carpet. I still have my hopes up that JL or MTX would make a stealth box to fit under the carpet. I need all the trunk and storage space in my Z. Gotta carry those golf clubs.
