Default Mounting an Ipod Hookup

So I got the Kenwood DNX7100 and got the IP300V adapter for an Ipod. For all of you that have an adapter for the Ipod, where did you mount/run the adapter? I had the wire running up through the hole in the center cubby but that didnt look very clean. Just looking for some ideas.

Hide it in the cubby of the center console (either by your elbow or where the nav would go. Connect your ipod and close the cover.

ran the adapter down the side of the center console and it sits in the little pouch area on the passenger side. Hidden by some flyers.

Mine is sitting in my arm rest/center console thing between the seats. I think it looks pretty good actually, except for the hole. And really convenient. Ive been trying to track down some felt or something to lay down so it looks a little cleaner but havent been able to come across any......

I was thinking the same thing Lakersfan. I ended up running the wire to the blocked off opening right below the shifter. Popping the blank panel reveals 3 slots where the heated seat buttons are supposed to be. I think I'm going to dremel a small hole off to the bottom and run the cord through.

you have to buy the mount for the car and then the IPOD holder to go onto the mount.

+1 that's where mine is... plus it's easily accessible when needed. Mounts are great, I've seen virtual shrines for ipods, but if the head unit is controlling it, why would one need a viewable mount if not only for looks?

The less I keep out of sight, the longer my window's stay intact.... Just my take on things.

i ran mine up the back of the center console cubby and in under the door that opens. it sits snug right in there out of sight. works like a charmsky except for the big plastic part that is the housing of the ipod connector. that thing is huge and because of that the case i had doesnt allow that connector to fit in the ipod properly. so i have to get a new case damnit.

*edited to say middle console cubby hole...not the actual cubby, i have a 7" lcd there.
