Default 6.5 speaker selection

I went to circuit city and best buy yesterday and found
4 brands of 6.5 inch speakers for around $50.

Because all the speakers were scattered it is hard to determine which speaker would have the best sound/imaging.
If you had to buy a pair which brand would you buy???

alpine
kenwood
bazooka
polk
all speakers are 2-way with basically the same wattage

thanks z owners..

I'd swing for Kenwood or Alpine.

That's just my personal experience though.

Have you listened to Eclipse 6.5" Coaxes? They sound great in the Z.

$50 for each speakers? If you really want to upgrade, plan on spending at least 100 for a pair. You not going to get much improvement with $50 pairs.

Look on ebay, check out infinity references they are really nice speakers for the money and are pretty cheap too. Look for the seller Scala 1 or their site ikesound.com These should run pretty efficient off the HU power as well.

alpine , kenwood, and polk are good brands, but 50 bucks is definitely their LOW end. I used to install car audio/electronics, and even though those are name brand speakers, they are not the name brand quality IMO.

I saw so many of the alpines come back blown that I wouldnt touch them. Alpine is a good head unit maker, but I am not too fond of the rest of their lineup. Way overpriced for the performance.

you have a 30k dollar sports car. Spend a few hundred on the sound system so you wont have problems with it later.

just my .02 cents
