Default What radar detector would you suggest?

So I haven't been on the forum in a while. After I got my license suspended in March my dad took my car from me and I haven't seen it in months =(
Buttt..September 8th, I swear I will be the first person in the DMV to have my license reinstated. I'll camp out if I have to haha..this has been torture.
However, I can say that I definitely learned a valuable lesson.
Anyway, if I get any type of moving violation within the next six months...my license will get suspended for a YEAR! So I am asking around about radar detectors, just in case. What have you all found to work reasonably well?

Nothing is going to help you. The only thing you can do is grow up NOW and do all the racing at the track. This might not mean much to you right now, but try to comprehend this simple statement. “It is not worth it”

Try to listen to a good advice, and drive safe. I had to learn it the hard way.

I wasn't asking for sarcastic replies. I don't understand..if you don't have anyway to enlighten the forum, why say anything? I have common sense, thanks.

Yes sir that is good advice. I do drive safe, I just happened to be late for something that day. Wrong place wrong time. I'm lucky I wasn't one of the many teenagers to learn the hard way.
Thanks for the advice!

People on the forums now are starting to get really snappy at people younger than them o_O

30 year old guy: "Hey guys I went 150 in a 45 and crashed and killed a school bus full of kids"
Other people: "Ah, thats okay, no prob."

17 year old kid: "Hey, I got a speeding ticket for going 55 in a 45"
Other people: "ZOMG!!! HANG HIM!!! N00B @ DRIVING FTMFL! BAN HIM!!!"

Yes and now... you don’t get a ticket for 10 over... to get you license suspended you have to do some crazy chit...

So telling a kid to go and pay $500 for a pos that will only get him in more trouble is not what I would do.

I did and will say it like it is. Kid needs to grow up, and understand that nothing helps.

Actually i heard radar jammers are the way to go. I've been looking into them, lately. They give you a better chance to not et a ticket for speeding, but do require an install behind both front and rear bumper.

no one is being sarcastic, what was said is the truth. because if you got a radar detector, you will get a false sense of security and be tempted to speed. and even the two best, the passport and the V1 are not perfect and people still get pulled using them.

I just briefly looked over his message history ... he did 75 in a 45 and something else (can't recall now that I'm posting ) ... and then did a drivers ed course, but some lady at the counter spazzed. 7 points on his license, but because he was young he wasn't allowed to have over 4 or it'd get suspended. The driver's ed course should have knocked out 4 points.

Bad, yeah ... but it wasn't 150 like that other guy did and the majority of people were like "oh its fine" with a few exceptions.

I agree on that.... there is a lot of disrespect for younger drivers here. Not everyone is the same. I never disrespected the OP in this thread, I just said that the radar detectors will not help, and he needs to slow down on the street and definitely try to go to the track to have some fun in his z.

V1 even though you shouldn't be speeding at all. And no radar detector will save you its a mix of knowing when cops are trying to get you and not driving like a jackass that helps you not get tickets.
