Default z enclosure from ebay question

i recently bought this z enclosure from ebay, because it was kinda close to my house and i can pick it up...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...DME:B:AAQ:US:1

after picking it up i tried to fit the box below the rear strut bar and nothing seems to fit.... the back piece didn't fit and the front piece didn't fit... well i got my money back from the guy...

but my question is this..
the guy keeps on telling me that either for the box to fit, i need to take the plastic pieces off the rear strut area. is this right? because from the pictures of what i've seen from members in here and another ebayer which is the link zenclosures.com. it seems like the box just slides in..... was that guy right stating that the box needs to fit after the plastic pieces have been taken out? or is he just full of it? just needed your expert advices. thank you in advance.

Hell no, sounds like that tard messed up his measurements and is trying to off all the f*cked up boxes me made. I bought one but with 2 10's instead of one. It slid right under there, nice and snug, with the carpet in place. It wasn't an easy slide in, but it went in there snug enough to ensure it wasn't going to slide around. Sounds like you need to find another dealer.

Good luck with things.

I bought the type-S enclosure from him and I love it. It has less airspace but it leaves u more trunk space. It also drops in from the other side of the rear strut.

..most definitely full of it and messed up the measurements. If you get an enclosure, I'd suggest buying from Mike@Zenclosures, the originator (type in zenclosures.com as the URL and it will take you right to his ebay page). Mike is a great guy to deal with.. not to mention, his boxes are right on. Usually when people start making "massive sales" and the money/income factor goes up and up.. the customer service factor drops exponentially, but "our good friend" Mike took the time to personally answer all of my (annoying) emails/questions let alone asked ME to call him up to go over whatever other questions I might have. That's just something you don't find anymore. I almost bought a Wickedcas box until the guy who picked up the phone on the other side started BS prices to me compared to what was listed online, not to mention, I had to initiate the call bc nobody could take 2 minutes to answer my emails. They may or may not make decent products, but this was my recent experience and customer service/price of Zenclosures is #1 bar-none.

I bought the 1x10 from Zenclosures a year or two back and recently ordered the 2x10s to kind of upgrade. Didn't have any problem with fitment then, it fit right in nice and snug, as mentioned . No BS "plastic pieces" to remove, etc, etc. Another reason you should only order from people w/100 or near 100% (+) feedback on ebay. Never below. I think Mike's user ID is Mlg990 or something like that. 100% FEEDBACK and that's with >2 sales! .lol.. Anyways, sorry to hear you got stuck with that lemon. Atleast you got your $$ back.

Thumbs down

yeah... that's what i thought..... i thought it just slides in..... but the guy keeps on saying that the plastic pieces are to be removed and then put back together after the box has been installed... i thought that was full of BS..... anyways... that was my fault for trying to save on shipping and save some money...... i am definately going to buy the box from zenclosures.com.

just wanted to warn other z members to watch out for that ebayer..... he will say that it will fit... but i guess you can see from other posts above.... that guy is full of it..... watch out for the guy "doremifrog" on ebay..... if he can't get one measurement right... then any other products he sells are bunch of crap..... any person who can't admit that they are at fault.... they can't be trusted....

once again watch out for ebay seller "doremifrog"
link to the box was
