I would avoid putting the sub behind the driver seat. Like it was said before, the bose is a free air sub. Plus it takes room for the base to grow. The closer you are to the speaker the worse the sound will be b/c you will hear more of the speaker moving then the music it produces.

So, with that said, maybe someone can help me. What I'd like to do is upgrade all the speakers to ones with better clarity, and get just a little more bass than the Blose sub can give me. I'm not trying to win any contests or cause an earthquake w/ my sub. I'm looking for sound clarity, not volume. I've got an 05 Roadster Touring w/ Bose w/o factory nav. I have an AVIC-D3 installed , so I've got the x-over issue covered, as well as high/low pass options. I've got a 4ch Alpine amp from my last car that's PRACTICALLY brand new that I'd like to use. I've also got some Alpine Type-R speakers (the middle ones, not S or X) that fit an '04 Eclipse, that I'm told will not fit my 350z. (6x9's & 6.5"'s, if I remember correctly)
So... there ya have it. Anyone that's got a system in a Roadster w/ Bose... lemme know what you've got, and I'll be eternally grateful.
As far as searching to find my answers (which always seems to be a sore spot in any forum), nobody can flame me, because I found this thread, and didn't start a new one to ask my questions.

PS... I worked at BestBuy (@ GeekSquad) in college, but I couldn't afford my Z until I graduated to a full-time job. Congrats for managing your wages well enough to buy a nice car!
