Yellow Or Redtop
Which battery is a better performer? which one can keep up with the demand of the amps better?
I have about 1400 watt stereo that I mostly play while the car is running. which is the best choice? or are they pretty close to one another?

Actually, if you read the manual for the Red Top Optima's, you'll see that having a large audio system in your vehicle actually voids the warranty. The Red Top Batteries are not designed for large constant loads. Stick with the Yellow Top.

I have been using the Optima Yellow Top for 3 years in my Z with a stereo system between 800 watts (current set up) and 1300 watts (former system). It has worked flawlessly. No cap installed either (a cap is nothing more than a band aid for a weak charging system)
