stage 3 is the only one that interest's me. I think its pointless to install a push button start and still have to use the key thats just my opinion though.

I don't have any new info - I haven't had a chance to install one of these in a Z. There arn't many good places from what I have seen though - it may take some custom work to get a button to look OEM. One idea I would like to look in to, though, is putting the button in the center console, close to where it is on a GT-R.

I'm not sure it will physically fit, but it should be close.

The PB50 by itself (no IG50) was still pretty cool to have in the car - it does seem to make starting the car easier because you turn the key then push the button - you arn't manually cranking the car like you do with a key. I found that I could then put my seat belt on while starting the car - saving me 3-4 seconds every time I went somewhere.

I know manually cranking the car isn't a big deal, but it is convenient not to have to do it.

yeah my buddy had a tundra that was like that but with the key. You just turned the key and it would start even if you let go.

I would really like the no key thing in my Z but im too stupid with wires and stuff to be able to install it.

The PB50 with the IG50 is definatly not for beginners - if you've never installed a remote start system you should probably find a local shop to do the installation.

The PB50 by itself isn't as bad, but it's still not a "beginners DIY".

We haven't got any of the red ones yet - I'm not sure if we will offer them or just the clear ones. Both are Nissan OEM buttons.

We also offer the control box with no button for $99.99. There are instructions on how to wire the button up in our support forum.

The IG50 is in the testing phase right now, hopefully we won't find any issues with it and it will be available in the 6-8 weeks.

It's "guarantee" bud (and how could you guarantee 500 people would buy it)...and 800 MSRP???? I'm interested in this product but certainly would not pay anywhere near that amount for it, as I'm sure many others would not. If it at market price like all other of his products though, I'm sure there will be a good amount of sales. Bump. I want to see this entire set up completed and in production!

Where do I buy it!!!

EDIT:

Does NOT provide any ignition switching (must use key to turn ignition on or optional IG50 Ignition Control Module) ????

I only want it if I can skip the whole "key" aspect

Also, how would this work with a remote start alarm like the Viper 5901?
Would this disable the alarms remote start capability?

Sorry for not responding - the unit is still being beta tested. I would imagine the decision should be coming soon as to if we are going to manufacture this or just leave it as a "beta" only product.

We haven't had any reported issues, but the feedback has been very limited.

i had a question. for the IG50 tags that go on your key chain. can you cut some plastic off the sides of the tag in order to put it into the a remote key. i have a customized flip key and wanted to know if i could cut the tag a little bit and stick it inside of the remote key.

The tag is, in essence, just a coil of thin wire. Theoretically, the coil could be removed from the plastic and massaged in to something else. I have, however, never done it and would not recomend anyone try it.

If we ever release the IG50 we will make additional tags available at a reasonable price in case you want to experament.

The amber color is the way they come stock - we can change the colors for a small fee.
