My soon to be Audio setup Need some suggestions on them
Im not spending an insane amount of money on my sound system but this is what im going to do so far and was wondering if any of you guys had something in this setup and how good it was.
----------------------
Avic D3 HU
ZEnclosure with 2 10" Kicker Comp VRs
Alpine Type R 6.5" Components for the FRONT with spacers
Im going to leave the stock Rear speakers in powered by the HU and fade them for filler (maybe get some decent) coaxials later
for the AMP im not sure which ones i should get i want the front components to be powered pretty well and the subs to bump pretty hard, what do you guys suggest on this? best bang for the buck?
any suggestions would gladly be appreciated thx

My opinion:
The ZEnclosure box is good
I hate kicker.
The alpine R componets are disapointing. and for the same amount of money you can get a whole lot cleaner sounding set.
I like the idea for the rears. I wouldnt even bother with coaxials.
Amp I would go with an Elemental Designs amplifier.

The two places I would not budget is: Front componets, and amplifier powering front componets. You can budget in every other area except these two and still have a killer system.
your looking good so far. Are the subs dual 2 or 4? I would get something like USAmps XT-800.2 for the comps and XT-1600.2 bridged if the subs are D4s http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...d&productId=23

OR maybe
Alpine 850 if the subs are D2 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=17565
and Alpine 250 or 450 bridged for the comps http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=16413

I concur on Zenclosures. I like Kicker subs and they make great, underrated amps. I love Alpine R subs but the comps are somewhat of a let down with harsh tweeters. +1 on basic rear fill. Elemental designs amps are good.

those kickers are definately going to sound LOUD. Trust me on that one. Bass will sound good and clean but it really hits low. In the z, since its such a small cabin, it will be unbearable i guarentee you.
I would just match teh subs with a kicker mono amp .

One 10'' alpine type-r worked really well in my z enclosures box.....two kickers is a waste...you won't be able to listen to them more than 50 percent power= total overkill. Regards..
