Default ipod to factory unit?

just as a disclaimer i searched earlier and didn't find the answer to my specific question(s), which are as follows:

ipod connectors like USA spec and Peripheral all say they work through satellite radio hookup on stock deck using satellite radio button. i have a 2006 z with non-bose stereo. there is no button and i dont know if there is a port in the back of the deck becuase i dont know how to get to the damn thing. does mine have a port? will these connectors work?

if this has been discussed earlier and someone could paste a link that'd be sweet. or if anyone has a fix cheaper than these $100+ connectors that would be even better.

thanks

According to this thread, the guy said it worked on his non-bose system:

Also, it doesn't use the satellite input -- it uses the CD changer input.

I have heard that if you push the AM button twice when installed it will switch it over to the ipod connector unit. I talked to one of the people at a car audio store and they said that it works with the stock head unit some way or another.

I have this one and it works great in '07 non-bose. You just hit the CD player button a second time and it goes into aux mode.

(available from other sources / ebay cheaper)

If you have an '07, please note, on the website in the link you have to select '06 350Z. for some reason when you pick '07 all that comes up is the FM device. You want the PAS which comes up under the '06 or earlier models
