Question Burnt smell following stereo installation

I just had a JVC head unit and infiniti front speakers/tweeters installed a few days ago and I have been smelling a burnt "electrical" smell that seems strongest under the hood. I don't get the smell if I leave the electric and stereo on.. only once I have been driving around for a few minutes. The smell is worse just outside the car or with the windows down. Anyone have any thoughts?

-Thanks

i dont know hwat would cuase something burning under the hood for just a simple headunit and speaker install...if you are completley positive its under the hood, definetly take it back to the place that put it in...hopefully its osmehting as simple as osmoene dropping somehting plastic on a hot engine part...but definetly do it asap, i dbout its sometihng DIRECTLY in line wtih the stereo addition cuase if it was burning it wouldnt be working too well for too long..

but either way, get it taken care of ASAP!

I was wondering if it was an issue with grounding. I can't figure out why I wouldn't smell anything when the car is on but the engine off.
