Hah, <- Idiot. I gotcha now. Yes I do like the look of the JBL amps and I hear some decent/good ratings from them. I am told they are underated.
DHCrocks - Good point.. I do like the Alpine amps, but the 1000.1 might be a little too expensive for me at $450 and the 600.1 is rated at 600 RMS @ 2 ohms which is what I need toi power the subs at their exact RMS. I would like to run the amp with the gain turned down a little, not at full gain. Working on an amp that does around 800+ RMS @ 2 ohms to be able to turn it down and keep the longevity of the amp.
MTX TE801D THUNDER mono is an amp for 800 rms exactly @ 2 ohma, not too pricey either at $325 . JBL's GTO1201.1II Mono is rated over 1100 RMS @ 2 ohm but I would imagine I can turn the gain down a lot and it's only $275. I would imagine that 100.1 Alpine kicks ***, but I just dont think I can do $450 and shipping for it when I only need 600RMS plus a little cushioning. Soundstream also has a couple of 2 channel amps rated 300+ RMS @ 2 ohms X 2 channels, if they are something to consider. Prices are very affordable for me on them as well.
