Default Bing or any electronic GURUs

I was planning on making some kicks for some 8s. The passenger side is perfect, with some big holes to vent outside. But unfortunately on teh drivers side those same holes hold two fuse boxes? has any one ever relocate those?? would anyone recommend doing it?

thank you

if you are good wiring wiring, and dont mind taking LOT of time and extending all the wring, you can certainly fit 8s in the kicks and get enough air space, wha ti suggest also is taking a plasma cutting and cut out the front part of the metal to get to the big cavity behind there

doable, yes, but qiute a bit time consuming

I think you'd be better off putting the 8's in the doors in pods and put the tweets (and mid's if you are using them) in the kicks.

I honestly do not want to make door pods for my door, sooo hard to make look good due to the shape of the door... The kick panels seem like a perfect place due to so much space. The plan is to put JL 8ib4 in the kicks, scan speak 12m in the doors, and rainbow cal27 in the pillars.

i do have to agree that the midbass in doors is probably a better choise...for an 8"...

as for the 8ib4, thats a rather deep speaker, are you going to do AP venting as well?

here is the 8" pod i made once

i enjoy both

pods and kicks

nothiing like 4 midranges and 4 tweeters for your front stage

also i might install 2 more tweeters in my a pillars on each side for a total of

2 x 6.5 " in pods
2 x 5.25 " in kicks
2 x 1" in door panels
2 x 1" in kicks
4x 1" in a pillars

for a 12 speaker front stage

its possible, like i said, but you need:

1. a lot of time and good wiring skills to extend and move aside all existing wiring

2. a plasma cutter to cut out the inner layer of metal

3. fiberglassing skills to create your cavity and kick panel

4. AP vent tuning skills to vent to the wheel well area
