I'm thinking about installing the PS2 Slim in my car, so I wanted to see if anyone on this thread has already done it. I need some ideas of where I could install the PS2 console and the power inverter. Any suggestions?

i'll be putting my slim ps2 in those little storage compartments behind the seats. a ps2 slim will easily fit inside.

i've read that using an inverter to power up the ps2 will create noise when it's on. instead, use an adapter made to power the slim ps2 and it won't make any noise at all.

Thanks for the info! Where can I find or purchase the adapter made to power the slim ps2?

Also,

Will I need to purchase longer RCA audio video wires or can I still use the original RCA wires that came with the PS2?

you can find the slim ps2 adapter on ebay, just search for ps2 slim adapter. it replaces the brick unit that the ps2 slim comes with. i got mine for like... 8 bucks shipped.

Hey thanks a lot deviljon & Pearlwhite Z, your help is very much appreciated. I placed my PS2 slim in the compartment behind the passenger seat today, and it seems like it would be difficult to put in and take out games. Are you guys currently having problems with this?

heres mine behind my drivers seat...it did it out of fiberglass and it holds my ps2 and capacitor....its wrapped in suede to match the rest of my interior... the hump behind the seat is wrapped in the suede and the door too....the center of the door is cutout and has a piece of plexiglass and everything is lit up with blue...the cubby behind the passengers side holds my amp and had its own fiberglass holder too...now i just gotta put everything back together....its been a while.
