Default Removing center dash with OEM nav.

I just bought an aftermarket HU to replace my BOSE HU (2005 350z). I been reading up on the "How to remove center dash" (http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/) and wonder how much harder its gonna be with the OEM Nav. Because in steps 7,8, and 9 in the above link are not gonna be the same.

Would someone who has experience in removing the center dash with Nav Please help.

P.S. I bought the pioneer HU DEHP 5900IB

Thanks
RICH

all you need to do is remove the input panel......just grab it and pull up on it. you will see that it moves..it snaps out of there.

try not to use a screw driver or anything, you could slip and scratch your screen.

Okay thanks for the quick response! I will give it a try. I'll take pics to help others that may take this journey.

Any other suggestions for this project?

depending on the year, the 06 and 07 they have 2 screws under the control panel. So you have to first remove the trim and you will see two screws right behind it.

Since I have the factory BOSE system, Do I need to do something about the factory amp for the sub????

I bought the wiring adapter for Nissan models 1998 - 2006 from Tweeter.
It looks like to white connectors that must plug into the connectors I disconnect from the factory HU and looks like I must solder to the wires from the new HU.

What is the "Pac Roem- nis2" (if it is even relavent) ?

PS. I dont use the voice navigation and dont really need the voice navigation.
thanks
