Default Need Help: First installation of Nav. Double Din Unit.

Hey guys, I just recieved my Avic z2 w/ Ipod and Bluetooth adapters a couple days ago. I'm only waiting on my Metra Kit.
A few questions;
1. Where does everyone hide their Ipod and Bluetooth adapter modules? Would it all fit inside behind the head unit?
2. How about the external GPS ant.?
3. The Mic?

Yes, I've looked in the instruction manual for the locations of the GPS ant. and mic but they seemed rather "tacked-on" and not very sleek.

Btw, i have an 06' ZR.
Thanks in advance!

My GPS is towards the base of the windshield. It's out of the way and I still get good reception...dunno if I have a pic or not, I'll check. Here ya go...it's down towards the driver side corner.

Looks nice bro. Any concerns of the water from your windshield wipers?

I put mine in the center of the dash originally but *INSIDE* the car...lol, he's brave putting it out there in the elements, hoodlums, vandals, etc. The glass from the windshield doesn't hurt my signal one bit. As a matter of fact, after a while I moved it slightly by taking up the dash and affixing it, still in the center, but under the plastic bezel that surrounds the three gauges. Same signal quality but now you can't see it at all. Just make sure you place the little square piece of metal that comes with it, under the antenna. By the way, for those of you who don't know, it's actually (the square piece of metal) called a "ground plane".

Regards.

Nah, no issues. It's been in the rain plenty of times.

1. a good place uusally is in the passenger side footwell, under the carpet, that shwer ei hide most of mine. or in the area behind the seat.

2. i neverpiut an ant outside, the gps will work fine as long as there is no metal in the way, i put them to the left and right side of hte center console on top, or hell, you can put them under the center console under the guage part, as long as its just plastic, it will be fine.

3. Mic i put atop the driver side A pillar.

if you go to my site www.simplicityinsound.com, there are a few Zs with Z1s and Z2s on there, click on some Zs and they will show you where i put them

Thanks for the pic top gear. Was it a pain to pack all there in there?

The rear stabilizer is the "bridge" behind the seat found only in the coupes right?
