This is a 2 part question. I am looking into buying a video camera for track, dragon, drivng days. My first question is what camera would you guys recommand, it doesn't have too cost alot, just something simple.Second question is what looks better, the camera mounted outside the car or it mounted inside the car. What video have you like the best

i dont like the "what if" factor of outside camera mounts.. plus a lot of tracks are really skittish about them.

 

I recall seeing a video from Tail of the Dragon a few years back. Somebody had an suction mounted camera on the side of their car. After a few minutes, the view changed from the road ahead to looking down at the ground. After a few more minutes - crash and burn as the suction mount gave way and the video camera hit the road.

I like and use the CruiseCam - it clamps to the two rods of the headrest.

 

+1 on the CruiseCam. very cost effective and stable.
