Question Factory GPS w/ aftermarket deck...

Does anyone know if there's a way to replace the Bose stereo with an aftermarket one and wire it in such a way to still have the factory GPS audio fed through?

Thanks,
Mike.

ive heard both ways.

one of my audio guys told me there was no way and that i would loose factory nav audio function (currently true. I have no voice, but its kind of a blessing in disuise. i got really tired of that *****)

The other audio guy said he had done it before. he was one of the first guys to do a system install in a 350z in this area, so i trust him a lot. he does great work. claims he can do it, although hasnt done it for me yet.

Yes, there have been a few threads on that topic, including at least 2 DIYs.

it works.. I'm actually taking a break from installing mine right now. I got a small amplified speaker from a escort radar detector. It just a matter of locating the the wire that goes to the left door speaker from the nav and wiring the new speaker to it instead...If that makes sense. I'm looking through my FSM right now to make sure i'm doing it correctly but i'll post a write-up when i'm done.
